The tea is grown across 191 acres of estate land situated in the tropics of Ramboda, Nuwara Eliya, and is renowned for its supreme aroma, taste and healthy antioxidants.
The drive from the Grand Hotel to the Bluefield Tea Gardens is about 21 kms. While at the Bluefield Tea Gardens you could engage in the following:
1. Factory Visit
The factory inside Bluefield is massive. There are trained guides present to provide you with adequate knowledge about the tea gardens and the tea manufacturing process.
2. Tea Centre
For the tea connoisseur, the centre provides a wide range of tea varieties. One can buy tea of different flavours from a different range. Bluefield Tea Gardens also provides you with a tea- tasting experience that is fun and educational.
3. Tea Lounge and Restaurant
A walk around the tea estate and the factory is sure to make you hungry and there is a restaurant inside Bluefield Tea Gardens with the provision for lunch and
breakfast. What’s more there is also a tea lounge providing hot strong tea brewed from tea leaves picked in their own gardens.
4. Kiddies Park
Bluefield Tea Gardens have gone to the extent of thinking about keeping the kids occupied too, where a small area inside the Bluefield Tea Museum is assigned for kids where they can play around.
